INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, RELATIONSHIPS

Brianna

As a therapist, Brianna is committed to individual and collective healing, operating from the belief that people change in the presence of other people. This is what makes the therapeutic experience so transformative - the relational work of therapy provides a new context where, together with a safe other, you can seek to understand and unlearn old patterns that no longer serve you, while learning to navigate through your inner and outer world with more courage, comfort, and curiosity.

Originally from Los Angeles, Brianna worked for ten years in gifted education and services focused on whole child development and support. She relocated to Spokane in 2018, earning her MA in Marriage and Family Counseling from Gonzaga. Her approach is highly relational and systems-based, viewing the need for connection to self and others as foundational to human wellness. Her work is grounded in Attachment Theory, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic based approaches to trauma work. She uses Polyvagal Theory as a framework for rewiring the nervous system's response to stress and expanding our capacity to hold space for difficult realities, emotions and change.

INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, COUPLES

Randi

We are all oriented towards growth, change, and importantly - connection. We also all deal with insecurities and do our best to avoid pain. Sometimes that means we push others away and isolate ourselves. Our means of coping may work for a while but can become ineffective through the transitions of life. Working through an attachment lens, Randi helps her clients uncover patterns of coping, develop emotional regulation, and shift self narratives. Her goals are to improve self worth and increase feelings of security both with self and others.

There is power in meaningful relationships. Within relationships people can develop trust and security to navigate difficult emotions and experiences. Randi uses principles from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy to build relationships, help each individual develop awareness, increase flexibility, and view themselves more positively.

Randi was raised in northern California, has moved and traveled around the country, and has called Spokane home for the last 15 years. She loves the Northwest and the beauty that comes from seasons and change. She graduated from Gonzaga University with a masters in Marriage and Family Counseling.

INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, FAITH-BASED

Sammy

It is possible to experience peace in any of life’s circumstances.

One thing that comes between us and this peace, however, is our thoughts - without intentional direction for our thoughts, we tend to fixate on our fears, anxieties, and doubts. When this happens, we turn inward and lose connection with what we believe in and the people around us. Sammy aims to guide her clients to a deeper understanding and validation of their current experience while empowering them to refocus their attention on what is true and life-giving, reestablishing a calming connection with their values, beliefs, and loved ones.

Sammy’s counseling approach is based in Adlerian, Person-centered, and Emotionally Focused therapies, which she uses to guide clients through overwhelming circumstances into more clarity, direction, and peace. Her approach to counseling is also grounded in her Christian faith which can be integrated into sessions as desired by the client.

Sammy was born and raised in Spokane, earning her master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling from Gonzaga University. Sammy loves the Inland Northwest and its refreshing natural beauty which she enjoys in her free time with her family and friends.
